EDINBURG – Jesus “Tino” Salazar, 83, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026, at South Texas Health System Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elia Paula Salazar; parents, Jesus Maria Salazar Cardenas and Maria Virginia Saenz Lopez; and siblings, Socorro Salazar, Blanca Salazar, Arturo Salazar, Ramiro Salazar, Evelia Salazar and Rebecca Salazar.
Jesus is survived by his two children, Edgar (Blanca Alicia) Salazar and Merardo (Susana) Salazar; five grandchildren, Mizael Eduardo Salazar, Paola Salazar, Marco Antonio Salazar, Alyssa Magaly Salazar and Merardo Salazar; and five siblings, Raul Salazar, Pedro Salazar, Ramon Salazar, Celia Salazar and Vicky Salazar.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
