Ismael Peralez

Ismael Peralez, age 76, entered into the kingdom of the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in McAllen, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 28, 1949, to Jose Angel Peralez and Santos Borjas Peralez in McAllen, Texas.

Ismael is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jose Angel Peralez Jr., and Daniel Peralez.

Ismael leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, San Juanita “Janie”; 3 children, Cynthia Lisa Peralez- Hughes (John Hughes), Brenda Yvonne Ochoa (Orlando Ochoa), and Ismael Peralez Jr. (Ileana Anaya Peralez); grandchildren, Renee Venecia Pardo (Leviticus), Alexis Venecia, Justin Hunter Ochoa, Lauren Avery Ochoa, Andrew Maldonado, Briana Garza, Maressa Ledesma, and Ismael Peralez III (SJ); great grandchildren, Elena Pardo, and Archillius “Archie” Pardo; siblings, Mauricio Peralez (Guillermina Perez), Maria Isabel Gonzalez (Rolando), Enrique Peralez, Irene Colbath (Eluid), Alejandro Peralez, Rosaura “Rosie” Valdez (Esteban), Rogelio Peralez, Arturo Peralez, Noe Peralez, and Eloy Peralez (Maricela). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton Rd in Edinburg, TX from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 2209 Kendlewood Ave, in McAllen, Texas.

Interment will follow at RGV Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas.

Honored to serve as his pallbearers will be Justin Ochoa, Rolando Gonzalez, Alejandro Peralez, Ismael Peralez Jr., Daniel Colbath, and Marcos Peralez.
