Irene Ibarra Hinojosa, 88, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sebastian Salazar; parents, Pedro and Simona Ibarra; and three brothers, Julio Ibarra, Julian Ibarra and Patricio Bolaños.
Irene is survived by three children, Maria Lozano, Elizabeth (Felix A. Martinez) Salazar, Osvaldo Bolaños; and four grandchildren, Jazmin Lozano, Alexis Martinez, Arely Martinez and Liam Martinez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
