SAN JUAN – Irene Garza Luna, 76, died Monday, March 9, 2026, at DHR Hospice in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lino Luna Sr.; her parents, Jose and Olivia Garza.
Mrs. Luna is survived by her children, Isabel (Wayne) Parsons, Idalia (+Robert) Gongora, Ricardo (Jessica) Sanchez; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Rosario Lucio.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 5 p.m. rosary Friday, March 13, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Interment of cremated remains will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
