Jose Martin Ipiña Sr.

JOSE MARTIN IPIÑA, SR. ALAMO – Jose Martin Ipiña, Sr., 84, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at San Juan Nursing Home. Born in Mexico, Mr. Ipiña had lived in Alamo most of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ipiña; and his mother, Maria Merced Cardoza Ipiña. Mr. Ipiña is survived by five sons, Jesus (Blanca) Ipiña, Juan (Isabel) Ipiña, Roberto Ipiña, all of Alamo, Jose Martin (Orfelinda ) Ipiña, Jr., of Weslaco, Pablo (Mary) Ipiña, of Holland, Michigan; eight daughters, Janie (Esteban) Uribe, Martha (Juan) Ocañas, Julia (Mario) Silva, Connie (Lazaro) Ledesma, Herlinda Garcia, all of Alamo, Rosa (Amador) Cuellar, of Suttons Bay, Michigan, Irene (Reyes) Trevino, of San Juan, Angelina (Jose) Miranda, of Edinburg; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 30, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
