MARY LOU HIGDON EDINBURG - Mary Lou Higdon, 86, died Sunday, October 19, 2014, at her residence in Edinburg. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Higdon; a daughter, Rita Young; her parents, Manuel and Rosita Gonzales; and two brothers, Manuel and Ralph Gonzales. Mary Lou is survived by two children, Sylvia (James) Williams of Austin, TX and Hal (Elizabeth) Anderson of Edinburg; her son-in-law, Lester Young, of Morrison, CO; three grandchildren, Brittan King, Sarah Young, and Ariel Anderson; three siblings, Eva (Ignacio) Ochoa, of Huntsville, TX, Lois (Benny) Petru, of Willis, TX, Rudy (Jackie) Gonzales of Bartlett, Tennessee. A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
