Fernando Herrera

McAllen- Fernando Herrera, 75, went to be with our Lord on May 10, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his son Fernando Herrera Jr., his grandson Fernando A. Herrera III, and his parents
Jose Herrera and Inocencia del Angel.
Mr. Herrera is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Lucia Herrera. He also leaves behind the greatest pride
of his life his children; Sandra (Mario+) Herrera Canchola, Brenda (Duke) Herrera Suarez, Lizzette Herrera, Joe
(Jessica) Herrera and Darlene (Jorge) Herrera Rojas. He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren Nicole
Herrera, Wesley Herrera, Anakin Herrera, Morticia Herrera and great-grandchildren, Rhea Herrera, Hera
Herrera, and Bruce Herrera. Left to miss his ear scratches, and belly rubs are his grand-dogs, Oatis, Rodeo and
Milo. He leaves behind many other family members and friends that will cherish his memory forever.
Nobody can be perfect, but our dad was as close to being the most perfect dad anyone could have. Our dad’s
love was unconditional, and this is something we will cherish from his character-and take with us forever. His
kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The Herrera Family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses that took care of our father at Doctors
Hospital at Renaissance.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 27th at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, TX from 5 p.m.
to 8 p.m. with a religious mass at 6 p.m.
Services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, Texas.
