EDINBURG – Raquel Hernandez, 48, died Sunday, January 29, 2017, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in Collier County, Florida, Raquel had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is survived by a son, John Moreno; her mother, Olivia R. Gonzalez; her father, Israel Hernandez; and four siblings, Rolando Hernandez, Edward Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, all of Edinburg, and Alicia Alaniz of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
