JOAQUINA M. HERNANDEZ SAN JUAN – Joaquina M. Hernandez, 86, died Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Life Care South Hospital in McAllen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Hernandez; and a son, Moises Gomez. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by a son, Modesto (Paula) Gomez, of Toledo, Ohio; a daughter, San Juana Gomez, of San Juan; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a niece, Yolanda Molina. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 26, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
