HERLINDA BANDA

PHARR- Herlinda Banda, 79, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at Rio Grande Regional in McAllen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Hortencia Ortiz; and one sister.

Herlinda is survived by her husband, Gabino Banda; two children, Gabino Banda Jr. and Alex Banda; one grandchild; and two siblings, Eva Jimenez and Polo Ortiz.

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
