PHARR - Victoriana M. Gutierrez, 82, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at her residence in Pharr.
Mrs. Gutierrez was born in Pharr and had lived there all of her life. She was founder of Promesa de Jesus Ministries in Donna.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio R. Gutierrez; a son, Ramiro Gutierrez; and a daughter, Estella Gutierrez.
Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by six sons, Eduardo Gutierrez, Jesus Gutierrez, both of Pharr, George (Gloria) Gutierrez of San Juan, Guadalupe (Rosie) Gutierrez of Donna, Candelario (Maggie) Gutierrez of McAllen and Gerardo (Lidia) Gutierrez of Edinburg; four daughters, Eloisa Gutierrez of Del Rio, Texas, Julia (+ Ramiro) Lopez of Donna, San Juana (Rosalino) Perez of Santa Maria and Santa (Luis) Navarro of Pharr; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Moreno of Camp Douglas, Wisconsin; and two sisters, Amelia Garza of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Juanita Santana of California.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment followed at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
