GUMARO GONZALEZ PRUNEDA
EDINBURG – Gumaro Gonzalez Pruneda, 68, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alejo and Valentina Gonzalez; two brothers, Viviano Gonzalez and Arnulfo Gonzalez.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Maria E. Gonzalez; four children, Arnulfo (Juanita) Gonzalez, Karina (Guadalupe Flores) Gonzalez, Gumaro (Lorena Cortez) Gonzalez Jr., Edgar (Jasmine Bustamante) Gonzalez; 16 grandchildren; four siblings, Herminia (Eduardo) Villarreal, Ofelia (Teodoro) Garza, Zenaida Gonzalez, and Amelia Gonzalez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
