Guadalupe M. Ybarra

Hidalgo, TX – Guadalupe M. Ybarra went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2024, at the age of 92.  She was born on November 18, 1931, to the late Jose Angel Molina, Sr. and Angelina L. Molina.  She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Ybarra, Sr., siblings Juanita Garza, Ninfa M. Paz, Blanca Estella Blanco, Bertha Molina, Jose Angel Molina, Jr., and grandchildren Joshua Ybarra & Elizabeth Marie Ybarra.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Dagoberto (Sylvia) Ybarra, Graciela (Rogelio) Ozuna, Sylvia (Virginio) Gonzalez, Daniel (Jovita) Ybarra, Jr., Rigoberto (Laura) Ybarra, Jaime Ybarra, and Javier (Honesty) Ybarra. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Guadalupe, better known as Lupita, was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.  For 30 years she worked as a dedicated custodian for Hidalgo ISD; she worked tirelessly in order to help provide for her family.  When she wasn’t at work, you could find her working hand in hand with her husband Daniel at the ranch. Whether it was cooking for her family or dumping produce in the field for the cattle, she loved every minute spent surrounded by her loved ones. She enjoyed dancing and music even in her later years; she would always find a way to get her body moving to the rhythm of the music. Her demeanor never changed, and she could light up a room with her lovely smile. Her never-ending love and affection will be missed by all.   

Pallbearers will be Mark Gonzalez, Miguel Gonzalez, Shawn M. Gonzalez, Brandon Szczuroski, Brent Ian Szczuroski, and Rigoberto Ybarra, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dagoberto Ybarra, Daniel Ybarra, Jr., Rigoberto Ybarra, Jaime Ybarra, Javier Ybarra, Virginio Gonzalez, Cristobal Ybarra, Kristian Gutierrez and Gavyn Hernandez.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 4:00pm-8:00pm with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, Tx.  Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Hidalgo, Tx. Interment will follow at Hidalgo City Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
