Guadalupe Barrientes
July 29, 1935 — May 8, 2026
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Guadalupe Barrientes, 90, on Friday, May 8, 2026 after a long courageous battle with illness.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Barrientes; a son, Ricardo Barrientes; a daughter, Alicia Barrientes; and a grandson, David Jesus Ojeda.
Mrs. Barrientes is survived by her four children, Eloy Barrientes, Estella Villarreal, Maricela Craig, Esmeralda Barrientes; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with 6 p.m. rosary Monday, May 11, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
