EDINBURG - Maria I. Gonzalez, 62, died Monday, January 16, 2012, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in Arkansas, Mrs. Gonzalez had lived in Edinburg all of her life.
Maria is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Moralez; and a brother, Lupe Moralez.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Luis Gonzalez of Edinburg; four children, Jose Luis (Sara) Gonzalez, Jr of San Antonio, Texas, Armando (Karla Rodriguez) Gonzalez of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rolando Gonzalez, and Crystal J. Gonzalez, both of Edinburg; one grandchild, Heide Jean Gonzalez of San Antonio; mother, Manuela Moralez of Edinburg; nine sisters; six brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, today, January 17, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
