CENOVIA G. GOMEZ
EDINBURG - Cenovia G. Gomez, 74, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Rio Hondo, Texas, Mrs. Gomez had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, Edward Cano.
Mrs. Gomez is survived by her husband, Raul G. Gomez of Edinburg; eight children, Rosa (Jose) Medina, Raul (Dorthy) Gomez, Jr., both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Irene (Demetrio) Cano, Robert (Elia) Gomez, Ricardo (Becky) Gomez, Irma Villarreal, Reynaldo (Nora) Gomez and Daniel (Janie) Gomez, all of Edinburg; 28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raul Galvan, Ismael Galvan; and two sisters, Otila Moreno and Ninfa Cantu.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., today, May 11, 2011 and from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 with a 7 p.m. rosary at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
