GILBERTO SALINAS

EDINBURG – Gilberto Salinas, 87, was called home to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Windsor Arbor View in Edinburg.

Gilberto was born February 4, 1938, in Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to the late Lazaro and Maria Salinas. He lived most of his life in Edinburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lazaro and Maria Salinas; three siblings, Maria Elia (Raul) Ortega, Arnoldo Salinas, and Hector Salinas.

Mr. Salinas is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Genoveva Salinas; two siblings, Gilberto G. (Norma) Salinas, Gabriel (Heidi) Salinas; two grandchildren, Brandon Mikkel Salinas, Justin Jerid Salinas; seven siblings, Ofilia Peña, Arturo Salinas, Felipe Salinas, Lazaro Salinas Jr., Jorge Salinas, Michael Salinas, Laura Ruiz; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, June 13, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.

Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
