PHARR- GEORGE MORENO GUTIERREZ, 80, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Victoriana Gutierrez; six siblings, Eloisa Gutierrez, Eduardo Gutierrez, Candelario Gutierrez, Ramiro Gutierrez, and Estela Gutierrez.
George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gloria P. Gutierrez; two daughters, Ruth Gutierrez and Elizabeth Gutierrez; grandson, Paul Jacob Gutierrez; six siblings, Julia Lopez, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Janie Perez, Jesus Alonzo Gutierrez, Gerardo (Lidia) Gutierrez, Santa Isaias Gutierrez.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
