Hortencia Garza Ybarra
October 20, 1925 — February 23, 2018
Hortencia Garza Ybarra, 92, went home to our Lord Friday, February 23, 2018, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Ybarra; her daughter, Enriqueta Gonzalez; her parents, Fermin and Teodora Garza; and six siblings.
Hortencia is survived by four sons, Manuel (Marie) Ybarra Jr. of Leesville, LA, Roberto (Roger Morey) Ybarra of Austin, TX, Arturo (Linda) Ybarra of Pharr, TX, Alejandro (Josie) Ybarra of Mission, TX; three daughters, Anita (Carlos) Martinez of Edinburg, TX, Beatriz (David) Johnson and Carmen (Gonzalo) Galvan, all of Victoria, TX; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, Monday, February 26, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
