Leonel "Uncle Leo" Garza

Leonel “Uncle Leo” Garza, 55, passed October 21, 2017, surrounded by family.
Born in Brownsville, Mr. Garza had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He was a son, father, grandfather, and uncle to many, and he will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lorenzo Garza Jr.; and a brother, Lorenzo Garza, III.
Leonel is survived by seven children, Leonel Garza II, Arielle Rodriguez, Orlando Garza, Cassandra Garza, Ayssa Garza Hernandez, Leanne Garza Martinez, Librado Garza; 17 grandchildren; his mother, Olga Serna; five siblings, Lee Garza, Yolanda Alvarado, Yvonne Garza, Diana Fragoso, Olga Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral service are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
