PHARR-Aurora J. Garza, 93, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Garza; a son, Javier L. Garza; parents, Santos Hinojosa and Alfredo Jalifi; and six siblings.
Mrs. Garza is survived by three children, Rolando C. Garza, Melissa A. Vela, Velma "Denise" Flores, all of Pharr; seven grandchildren, Laura Garza, Jessica Garza, Elise Garza, Marissa Vela, Kristen Vela, Veronica Garza, Jose J. Garza; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Felipa Gutierrez of Wharton,TX, Jose Torres, Pete Torres, both of Mission.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 29, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
