ALAMO – Abelino Garza, Jr., 69, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in Donna, Mr. Garza had lived in Alamo most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abelino Garza and Nena Infante; a sister, Juanita Morin; and a brother, Earl Garza.
Abelino is survived by his wife, Santos Garza of Alamo; two children, Abel Ricardo (Cindy Banda) Garza of Alamo and Yvonne (Eleazar) Lomas of Kingsville, TX; four grandchildren, Nineveh, Julian, Emma, Katheryn; seven sisters, Gloria (Arnoldo) Perez of Edinburg, Doria (Bob) Garza-Huddleston, Letty Garza Arviso, Yvonne Wood, Cris Sanders, Cynthia Patterson, Sandra Garza Frederico; four brothers, Matt Garza, Micky (Marci) Garza, Abel (Ana Marie) Garza, Jody (Michelle) Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, January 3, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Inurnment of cremated remains will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2017, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
