MARIA CELIA GARCIA
PHARR – Maria Celia Garcia, 60, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born and raised in Rio Grande City, Mrs. Garcia lived in Pharr most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Guzman; her parents, Reynaldo and Alicia Garcia.
Mrs. Garcia is survived by two daughters, Priscilla and Shannon Guzman, both of Pharr; three sons, Michael (Michelle) Pena of Edinburg, Andy Guzman of Weslaco, Lorenzo Guzman, Jr. of Pharr; six grandchildren; 11 siblings, Reynaldo (Leticia) Garcia, Jr. of McAllen, Eloy (Priscilla) Garcia of Rio Grande City, Luis Carlos (Rosa) Garcia of Benson, Arizona, Alfredo (Janie) Garcia, Hector (Monica) Garcia, Mario (Eliza) Garcia, Cidelia (Joey) Garza, Elida Garcia, Criselda Garcia, Rene (Mona) Garcia and Jose Octavio Garcia all of Rio Grande City.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, March 21, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at , St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr, Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Hidalgo City Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
