Maria Teresa Garcia, 74, died Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Mrs. Garcia was born in Edinburg and lived there all of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Garcia; and her parents, Jose Guadalupe, Jr. and Francisca Cabrera.
She is survived by two children, Ismael (Julie) Garcia of Edinburg and Zelma (Alejandro) Davila of San Antonio; five grandchildren, Anaka, Anycia, Aaron, Abriana, Alexander; four siblings, Ramona (Roberto Sr.) Guzman, Dolores (+Alfredo) Guzman, Luisa (Neal) Pearson, all of Edinburg, Jose Guadalupe (Maria Guadalupe) Cabrera, III of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Pallbearers will be Roberto Guzman, Jr., Rene Guzman, Roy Farias, Carlos Garcia, Michael De Los Santos, Mark De Los Santos.
She will be greatly missed by those she touched. "Love you always and forever."
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
