JUANITA M. GARCES EDINBURG - Juanita M. Garces, 69, died Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Levelland, Texas, Mrs. Garces had lived in Edinburg all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Feliciana Melchor; and a great-granddaughter, Julissa Nicole Rocha. Mrs. Garces is survived by her husband, Lorenzo Ybarra; three sons, Rene Garces, Ernesto Garces Jr., Eloy (Sandra) Garces, all of Edinburg; two daughters, Sandra (Joel) Cruz, of Houston, Belinda Zapata, of Edinburg; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Jose Inez Melchor Jr., Rogelio Melchor; and three sisters, Rosario Flores, Mercedes Rodriguez, Aurora Ozuna, all of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 16, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
