PHARR - Fred Tamayo III, 75, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at South Texas Health System Edinburg.
Mr. Tamayo is survived by his wife, Cristela S. Diaz; a son, Peter Velasco; seven siblings, Lily Tamayo, Dorothy Tamayo (Naylin) Scott, George (Charlie) Tamayo, Ellie Tamayo Medina, Daniel (Julia) Tamayo, Felix (Susie) Tamayo, Elaine T. (Jorge) Rodriguez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Memorial Service Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
