FRANCISCA VENECIA
EDINBURG – Francisca Venecia, 90, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at her residence in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonel Venecia; daughter, Thelma Venecia; parents, Erasmo and Maria Garcia; four siblings, Jose Angel Garcia, Hector Garcia, Heron Garcia, and Humberto Garcia.
Mrs. Venecia is survived by her three children, Thelma Elisa (David) Garza, Elizabeth Venecia, Leonel (Araceli) Venecia Jr.; a granddaughter, Denise Perez; four great-grandchildren, Marcus Aguilar, David Perez, Derrick Perez, Mallory Vargas; two siblings, Irma Balderas and Felipe Garcia.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
