Fermina Reyes De Garcia

MONTE ALTO- Fermina Reyes De Garcia, 98, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerardo Garcia; parents, Camerino Reyes and Francisca Ramirez; three children, Celia Gonzalez, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez; and three siblings.

Fermina is survived by her four children, Maria Alicia Gonzalez, Josefina (Juan Adrian) Hernandez, Laura (Nicolas) Martinez, Gerardo Jr. (Jasmine) Garcia; 28 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Enriqueta Reyes and Maria Del Carmen Reyes.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2026 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Hargill. Interment will follow at Valle De Paz Cemetery in Hargill.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
