EVANGELINA F. ESPINOZA 

PHARR – Evangelina F. Espinoza, 95, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at her residence in Pharr. She was born in Odem, TX, on September 22,1930. 

Eva, as she was known by all who knew her, was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She gave her all in all aspects of work, life, and family. Her kindness, strength, and love touched everyone who knew her. Eva had a beautiful way of making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Her warm smile, comforting words, and generous heart had a lasting impact on so many lives.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Espinoza; mother, Geronima Balderas; step-father, Angel Balderas; three siblings, Emma Reyes, Angel Balderas Jr., and Francis Aguiñaga.  

Eva is survived by her four children, Belinda (Cesar) Escobedo, Brenda Brown Silguero, Yolanda Villarreal (†Felix Villarreal), Luis (Janie Gallegos) Espinoza; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Mary Grace Veladre, Jesus Balderas, Oralia Balderas, Alicia Flores, Janie Martinez, and Yolanda Perez as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Monday, April 27, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg, Tx. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
