JUANA C. ESCAREÑO PHARR – Juana C. Escareño, 81, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Mexico, Mrs. Escareño lived in Pharr since 1951. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Norberto Escareño of Pharr; five children, Maria Del Carmen Sotelo, Raul (Criselda) Escareño, Rogelio Escareño, Oralia Escareño, all of Pharr, Dehlia (Joe) Flores of Mission; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A rosary was held Friday, October 5, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.Funeral service will be at 9 a.m., today, October 6, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
