ENRIQUE FLORES

EDINBURG – Enrique Flores, 92, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at his home in Edinburg, Texas.

He was an anchor for our family and was always there for us when we needed him.  He served in the United States Marines during the Korean war and afterwards, worked hard at various jobs to support his young family.  He worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years serving his community in Edinburg, TX.   Dad, we miss you and love you dearly. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rufina C. Flores; two children, Elia Flores and Esteban Flores.

Mr. Flores is survived by his five children, Enrique (Blanca E.) Flores Jr., Feliciana (Michael Moody) Decker, Sonia I. (Victor) Cantu, Enriqueta (Miguel) Calvillo, Eugenia (Nadia Garcia) Flores; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Enriqueta Villafuerte; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, November 24, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.  Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
