EMMA V. BARRERA
SAN JUAN – Emma V. Barrera, 88, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Hidalgo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose S. Barrera; son, Jorge Luis Barrera; and grandson, Jeremy Barrera.
Mrs. Barrera is survived by her four children, Jose David (Rebecca) Barrera, Sylvia (Noe) Canales, Miguel Angel (Anna) Barrera, Carlos Barrera; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Tuesday July 22, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
