EMILIA “EMILY” VILLARREAL

EDINBURG – Emilia “Emily” Villarreal, 40, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Emilia Abrego; grandfather, Juan Abrego; grandma, Villarreal; uncle, Eleazar Abrego; first husband, Alvaro Gonzalez; and second, husband, Pete Garcia.

Mrs. Villarreal is survived by her two children, Nicolas Villarreal, Julian Villarreal; two siblings, Jorge Villarreal, Laura Gutierrez; nieces, Autumn and Alison Villarreal; two grandpups, Enzo and Cinnamon.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
