ELVIA RESENDEZ
HIDALGO – Elvia Resendez, 85, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Village Healthcare and Rehabilitation in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Maria Lozano; and two children, Maria De Los Angeles and Juan Pedro Resendez.
Elvia is survived by her seven children, Flor L. (Juan) Campos, Mary (Hector) Moroles, Mary Lou (Robert) Resendez, Jorge (Nancy) Resendez, Maria (Carlos+) Espinoza, Oscar (Matilde) Resendez, Amy Lee (Christian) Ramirez; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 311 E. Expressway 83, in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
