ELVA ZAMARRIPA ADKINS

PHARR– Elva Zamarripa Adkins 90, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pierce Adkins; parents, Pedro, Sr. and Fidencia Zamarripa; seven siblings, Cruz Z. Ybanez, Luz Z. Molina, Celia Z. Torres, Angela Z. Dages, Pedro Zamarripa Jr., Andres Zamarripa, and Hildiberta Zamarripa. Mrs. Adkins is survived by her daughter, Annette (Juan) Moreno of McAllen; four grandchildren, Mitchell Mendez, Jozette Flores, Sydnee Moreno, Myrea Moreno all of McAllen; a brother, Domingo Zamarripa, Sr. of McAllen; and numerous nephews and nieces. 

Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2024, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr. Pallbearers will be, Juan E Moreno, Jr., Macario Torres, Jr., Christopher Torres, Mitchell Mendez, Hector Molina, Sr., and Richard Molina.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
