ELIZA CARRANZA

PHARR- Eliza Carranza, 100, died Friday, May 17, 2024, at Grand Terrance Nursing Home in McAllen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adalberto Carranza and Juanita Zuniga; nine siblings, Julian Carranza, Eva Veliz, Elvira Tijerina, Olivia Carranza, Josefa Gomez, Stanley Carranza, Aldalberto Carranza, Jose Emilio Carranza, and Petra Carranza.

Ms. Carranza is survived by her brother, Abel (Alicia) Carranza; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.   Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday May 22, 2024, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
