Eduardo Garza

EDINBURG - Eduardo Garza, 86, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Alfredo Gonzalez Veterans Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen.
Mr. Garza was an Army Veteran of 20 years. He served in Korea, Germany and Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Elvira Garza; and a sister, Angelina Garza Acevedo.
Mr. Garza is survived by his wife, Ida Acuna Garza; a daughter, Rosa Maria Garza-Higgins; two step-sons, Juan Lino (Tanya) Perez Jr., Michael Edwardo Patrick; a granddaughter, Alyssa Marie Perez; two siblings, Elida Rodriguez, Alfredo Garza Jr.; cousin, Melba Garza; and numerous other cousins.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025, at St. Mathew Episcopal Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Cremation Center in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
