EDINBURG — Emma Diaz, 87, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Dr. Arroyo, Mexico, Mrs. Diaz had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eulogio and Felicitas Diaz; a sister, Josefina Diaz; a brother, Eugenio Diaz and a grandson, Arturo Cano.
Mrs. Diaz is survived by her seven children, Elvia (Pedro) Cano, Rosalva Garza and Marco Antonio (Sonia) Pedraza all of Edinburg, Amelila (Frank) Avina of Wauseon, Ohio, Simon (Emma) Pedraza Jr. and David Pedraza both of Las Vegas, Nevada and Mario Alberto (Rosa Maria) Diaz of Muskegon, Michigan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 7, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
