DAVID RIVERA
SAN JUAN – David Rivera, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at South Texas Health Systems in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Rivera and Tomasa Bernal; and two brothers, Juan and Javier Rivera.
David is survived by his son, David (Magaly) Rivera, Jr.; two grandchildren, Kaleb Rivera and Liam Rivera; ten siblings, Valentina (Antonio) Garza, Pedro (Julia) Rivera, Jr., Gumecinda (Joel) Martinez, Anastacio (Alma) Rivera, Naela (Jesus) Rivera, Alberto (Carol) Rivera, Fernando (Hermelinda) Rivera, Rodrigo (Alicia) Rivera, Veronica Rivera, and Marisela (Daniel) Garza.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, Texas. Funeral service will take place at 10 am, Monday, June 29, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
