EDINBURG – David Guerrero, 63, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026, at his residence in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Sr. and Manuela Guerrero; and a sister, Idalia Sanchez.
David is survived by his five siblings, Jesus Jr. (Janie) Guerrero, Sarah (Kenneth) Raines, Liza (Greg) Garza, Eva Guerrero, Ruth (Daniel) Alaniz, Fela (Rodolfo+) Chapa; brother in law, Eliseo Sanchez; numerous nieces and nephews; and three godchildren who he deeply loved, Alec Sheperd, Jenifer Torres and Sophia Gallardo.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 93.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
