David E. Sanchez, 90, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at McAllen Medical Center.
He served in the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bardomiano and Sebastiana E. Sanchez; four sisters, Maria Sanchez, Francisca Moralez, Benigna Trevino, Valentina Ybarra; three brothers, Trinidad Sanchez, Reymundo Sanchez, Leonel Sanchez; and a granddaughter, Selina Sanchez.
Mr. Sanchez is survived by his sweetheart/wife of 67 years of marriage, Elva H. Sanchez; four children, Eloy H. (Linda) Sanchez, Normalinda (+Javier) Sanchez, Elda S. (David) Rodriguez, Liza (Rogelio) Rodriguez; five grandchildren, James Christian Sanchez, Selin Sanchez (Roberto Alvarez), James Anthony Rodriguez, Loriza Alexandria Rodriguez, Maritza Renee Rodriguez; a great-grandson, Nolan Javier Alvarez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Monday, September 11, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
