DAVID CORPUS

EDINBURG – David Corpus was called home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the age of 70.

Our father was the most amazing dad, husband, and grandfather. We were truly blessed with every moment we shared with him. He will forever be in our hearts. Our dad was a hardworking, dedicated man who took great pride in his trucks and gave so many years of his life to Dorado Oil Company, always giving his best and taking pride in the work he did.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pantaleon and Santiaga Corpus; two brothers, Ramiro Corpus and Celso Corpus.

Mr. Corpus is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Corpus; three children, David (Lilyvettee) Corpus Jr., Esteban Celso (Sandra) Corpus, Crystal Lee (Ivan) Lopez; five grandchildren, Esteban Celso Corpus Jr., Emily Mae Mendoza, Matthew David Corpus, Ivan Michael Lopez, Chelsea Grace Lopez; six siblings, Lupe Corpus, Joe Corpus, Vita Corpus Gonzalez, Armando Corpus, Luisa Ramirez, and Alice R. Corpus.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
