Elsa Cortez

TOMBALL – Elsa Cortez, 78, went home to our Lord Thursday, July 15, 2021, at HCA Houston Healthcare in Tomball, TX.
Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mrs. Cortez was currently residing in Tomball.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gilberto Cortez; her parents, Pedro Saenz and Cenovia Chapa; three siblings, Mario Saenz, Isabel Bravo, and Pedro Saenz Jr.
Mrs. Cortez is survived by seven children, Gilberto “Beto” Cortez Jr. of La Feria, Mario (Maria Elena) Cortez, Abel (Joy) Cortez, both of Edinburg, Adan (Mary) Cortez of La Feria, Carlos (Linda Garcia) Cortez of Pharr, Elsa (Cory) Coker of Tomball, TX, Cris (Sandy) Cortez of Donna; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Argelio Saenz of Pharr, Leticia Cerpa Saenz of Ceres, CA, and Blanca Saenz Chapa of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
