OSCAR CONTRERAS
ALAMO - Oscar Contreras, 71, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Alamo, Mr. Contreras had lived there all of his life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Noemi Contreras; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mr. Contreras is survived by his wife, Eva Contreras of Alamo; three children, Oscar (Patricia) Contreras, Roxanne Contreras of Denver City, Texas and Omar Contreras of Alamo; five grandchildren; three sisters, Olga Hinojosa of Alamo, Delia Garcia of Weslaco and Oralia Cavazos of Donna; three brothers, Horacio Contreras of Alamo, Octavio Contreras of Chicago, Illinois and Rodolfo Contreras of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, June 12, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., today, June 13, 2009 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
