Cipriano "Chico" Flores, 77, entered eternal rest Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in Chicago, IL, Mr. Flores had lived in Edinburg for seven years and was formerly of San Juan. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Palm Valley Church.
Mr. Flores is survived by his wife, Maria G. Hernandez; five children, Alfredo (Ruth) Flores, Adrian (Debra) Flores, Lydia (Eddie) Carlin, Cipriano (Aldo Guerrero) Flores, Crystal Flores; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, Maria Elena Carrillo, Leopoldo Flores, Stella Flores, Rene Flores, Juanita F. Estrada, Lupita F. Quintero, and Rosa Maria Flores.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alfredo Flores Jr., Roy Reyes Jr., Jasper J. Carlin, Dawson Carlin, Jayden Rios, and Cipriano Flores Jr.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
