ALAMO – Christina Herrera, 67, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gumaro Herrera; and two siblings, Reynaldo Herrera and Minerva Alvarado.
Christina is survived by her mother, Celia Herrera; four siblings, Gumaro Herrera Jr., Carmen Imelda (Henry) Magallan, Diana Herrera (Steven +) Ortiz, George (Maria Elisa) Herrera; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Friday, October 2, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation took place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
