HERMELINDA CHAVEZ
PHARR – Hermelinda Chavez, 68, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at her residence in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her father, Miguel Chavez; and a sister, Maria de los Reyes Chavez.
Mrs. Chavez is survived by her husband, Julian Lopez of Pharr; a son, Julian (Brenda) Lopez of Mission; two daughters, Marisol (Eduardo) Cruz and Griselda Lopez, both of Pharr; six grandchildren; her mother, Maria Trevino; two sisters, Herminia Gutierrez of Edinburg, Estela Vasquez of Mexico; and a brother, Miguel Chavez.
A rosary was held Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
