Cesario "Charlie" Perez

EDINBURG – Cesario "Charlie" Perez, 62, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

A dedicated member of the Rio Grande Valley community, Cesario was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McAllen and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #15362. He also left a lasting impact on local education through his many years of dedicated service with PSJA ISD at Edith and Ethel Carman Elementary in San Juan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Cesario Perez.

Cesario is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laura Perez; a daughter, Laryzza Perez; mother, Dominga Martinez; and six siblings, Rosa Perez, Jaime Perez, Juan Perez, Carmen Garcia, Margarita Aguilar, and Eva Meir.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
