PHARR – Celia Rivera, 79, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at The Heights of Alamo.She is preceded in death by her parents, Gonzalo and Eusebia Rivera; and four siblings. Mrs. Rivera is survived by six children, Gonzalo Rivera and Raul (Lucila) Rivera both of Pharr, Claudia (Cruz) Rocha of Weslaco, Armando (Alma) Rivera and Marina (Carlos) Avitia both of San Juan, and Carlos (Monica) Rivera of Edinburg; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Celia left beautiful memories to her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her love and passion for dancing and loteria. Visitation will be held at 4 p.m., with a 6p.m. rosary, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan cemetery.
