Vicente E. Castillo Sr.

VICENTE E. CASTILLO, SR. EDINBURG — Vicente E. Castillo, Sr., 68, died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Castillo was a longtime resident of Edinburg. He was a loving grandfather and enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Severiano and Senovia Castillo; sister, Martina Castillo. Vicente is survived by his wife, Andrea Garces of Edinburg; five children, Senovia Castillo, Maria Antonia (Sergio) Gonzalez, Veronica Zapata, Vicente (Miriam) Castillo, Jr., and Valente Castillo, all of Edinburg; eight grandchildren; brother, Valente Castillo, Sr. of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, January 2, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
